The biggest strength that we hold to stay and grow in our business is our design team. Our design team is always on a lookout for newer Shapes and finishes. Creativity in designing is a must and our most critical business control area is designing. Every other business function virtually depends on this department.

Apealing Shapes

The first point is our research in what shapes can be appealing. From various external sources such as nature, art, movies etc, we get ideas of newer shapes.

The creative team puts their heads together to value add the idea. Then the idea is articulates into a design that will be appealing.

Functionality

After this we check the functionality of the piece. Will it look good on the wall or table. Will it serve any other purpose like Clock embedding, or ash tray.

Finish

After we finalise the shape we find the best kind of finishes. We do in-depth research parallel on finishes because of the following needs

• Shine of the article has to be balanced. Too shiny is not good, too dull is not good either.
  
• The shades are in variety ranging from copper to golden.
  
• The shine has to last long and its endurance is a major issue.
  
• The finish if exposed to sunlight or normal heat should not get faded or melt.

These principles guide us to develop the best finishes. When a person sees a shape but is not satisfied with the finish he is likely to change his mind.

Further, he buys the product and finds that the finish did not last long, it affects our customer, retailer, dealer, brand and us as well. This something we cannot compromis on and hence we have a continuous ongoing research in finishes.

Prototype Test

The product does not go into commercial production as yet. There is an employee as well as non-designer’s survey done that informs us whether the product is worth commercializing. The survey gives us feedback on Shapes, Functionality and Finish which can be improved on.

The feedbacks are then used to prepare the final design which then goes into production.

Final Design

Final design includes sketches, Production Processes and finish processes to be employed. It also gives accurate reports on Mould development, as this is the area where production can improve to provide better economies of scale.
